What to do about a credit card bill gotten from Identity theft?
Credit CardTammy_Suto asked:
I’ve recently gotten 2 credit card bills in my name for cards I never applied for nor do I have. I’m on disability and have filed for bankruptcy a few years previous so I couldn’t get a card if I wanted one. I’m at a loss for what to do since I can’t pay for charges that I didn’t make.

Call those companies immediately. Check the bills for a Fraud Hotline or just call customer service. They should be able to help you get it all straightened out.

Call, then write, the companies and tell them that you did not apply for these cards (and btw, apparently your credit is better than you thought it was, or the theif wouldn’t have been able to get the cards).
File a police report, take copies of the bills.
Notify the three major credit bureaus, Experian, TransUnion and Equifax.
Here is a link on credit info that you will need:
Good luck to you.

Try going to FTC(Federal Trade Commission)…They could help.
