What’s the best credit card to get after a bankruptcy?
Credit Cardjorst asked:
I declared bankruptcy three years ago. I’m being deluged with credit card offers. Is there a best card to go for, a best interest rate, or should I just forget the whole thing and stick it out with my Visa debit card I have through my bank?

Get one with no annual fee. You should get one with a low credit limit(you can lower it or underreport your income) and pay it off every month.

Whatever you get, you really should pay it off every month to work toward getting your credit repaired. Also, beware, just because they say you are “pre-approved” they may not offer you a card when they run a credit check. IF you plan to keep a balance, there are many credit cards that have 0% interest for a year or so. Once again, pay it off every month to prevent future bankrupcies. Only charge when you have cash to back it up.
Good luck.
